REID, Isabelle Mary Maud (nee Taylor) May 12, 1923 – August 4, 2012
It is with heavy hearts that we
announce the sudden passing of our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother. Isabelle will be sadly missed by her husband of 65 years, Donald; and the family, Kerry (Karin) of Peachland, Robert (Karen) of South Surrey, Grandchildren Andrew, Shannon and Great Grandchild Blythe.
She was predeceased by brothers Glenford and Eldred. She was born and grew up in the Marpole area of Vancouver, living in Richmond, BC for most of her married life. Isabelle worked for the Federal Government and RCAF until she married Donald in 1947. She had a long career working in administrative positions with her longest employment as a School Secretary with the Richmond School Board, retiring in 1987.
Throughout her life she enjoyed square dancing, travel, playing bridge, power shopping and corresponding with her family and friends. She led a Christian life and was a thoughtful friend, loving wife and caring mother. Her family was her biggest joy. By her choice, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, we invite you to donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC & Yukon.
