Hubert (Bert) Webb Fleenor
December 27, 1924 – March 25, 2017
Hubert (Bert) Fleenor passed away peacefully on March 25, 2017 at Cascade Lodge, Chilliwack, BC. He was born on December 27, 1924 in Calgary, Alberta to Joseph and Ethel (Webb) Fleenor. Bert was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Violet in 2013, son Joseph and sister Laura Kells in 2014. He is survived by sons Bruce (Colleen) of Cawston, BC, Colin (Gail), Dennis (Jacque) of Chilliwack, BC, grandchildren Kagney (Carlie), Brandon (Janie), Rena (Dave), Dustin, Jordan (Faye), Cody (Kayla), Seth, Wiley (Kandice), and Toby. Great-grandchildren Aksel, James, Braydon, Rylee, Adrion, Kaydence, Presley and Nixon, also many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Bert was a correctional officer for the BC Forestry Camps in the Chilliwack Lake area in the Stores Department and as a guard. In the early 1970’s he and Vi sold their farm, bought a motorhome, and travelled extensively throughout the United States. Upon returning to Canada, Bert worked for the B.C. Housing Commission as manager of a large apartment complex in Vancouver. After retirement they moved back to Chilliwack. A special thank you to Dr. Quentin Smith and all the wonderful, caring staff at Cascade Lodge where Bert resided for the last five years. A memorial will be announced for a later date.
