Heidi BONNER

BONNER, Heidi “Farm Granny”

May 10, 1946 – January 17, 2015

After a long and courageous battle with COPD, it is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of a truly wonderful lady, Heidi Bonner on January 17th, 2015. She will be greatly missed by her son Dharen Shulman,

daughter-in-law Carolyn and her granddaughters, Stephanie and Faith, whom she loved so dearly, and of course her faithful companion of many years, her dog Queenie. She also leaves behind her loving Aunt Margo and dear cousin Anne and family, as well as relatives in Germany and many close and wonderful friends. Heidi loved to give freely of herself to all in need and always did so with a beautiful smile. She had a pure heart, one made of gold and all who knew her would have known this. She was an activist in the fight against this horrible disease. She was the President of the local chapter of the “Better Breathers” Club and greatly

enjoyed her companionships and fun as a member of the local “Red Hats”. The family would like to extend its sincerest gratitude to Dr. Gounden and the wonderful ladies at Westgate Medical, who were always so kind and caring. They also wish to convey their gratitude to all the fantastic and dedicated Respiratory therapists at Ridge Meadows Hospital, her nurse and dear friend Linda and the caring staff at Greystone Manor. They wish to thank all the nurses and Dr’s at Ridge Meadows Hospital Emergency Department who graciously cared for her and the family as she passed. The family is eternally thankful to each and every one of you for your kindness, caring support and the peace you brought to Mom and to us as a family in our times of need. There will be a “Celebration of Life” ceremony at 11:30am on Friday, January 30th, 2015 to be held at the Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel, 11969 216th Street, Maple Ridge, B.C., with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation to BC Lung Association would be very much appreciated.

Rest in peace, Mom.

We will always love you.

And will never forget.
