ROBERTS, Harold Reynold

On November 12, 2002, Harold “Robbie” Roberts passed away peacefully at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital at the age of 70 years.

Born in Calgary, AB and has been a resident of Parksville, BC for the past 7 years, formerly of Duncan and Victoria, BC. Predeceased by his sons Michael in 1957 and George in 1997. He leaves his loving family, wife of 52 years, Bette at home; son and daughter-in-law Rick and Louise of Cobble Hill, BC; daughter and son-in-law Gayle and Keith Fifield of Duncan, BC; daughter-in-law Jean of Duncan, BC; grandchildren Graham (Tricia), Nathan (Denise), Beth (Tony), Jason (Magan), Elysia, Michael and Alan; great-granddaughter, Alexandra; 2 brothers Charles (Lois of Calgary, AB and Don (Bev) of Kimberly, BC and one sister Vi Wilson of Merritt, BC. Robbie joined the Royal Canadian navy in 1951 and served until 1961. He was active as a coach with “The Cowichan Timbermen”, was employed as a longshoreman with Local 508, was a member of the Parksville Lions Club and Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #76 in Qualicum Beach, BC.

A Celebration of Life was held at the Lions Den, 241 S. Moilliet, Parksville, BC on Saturday, November 16, 2002 at 2:00 p.m.
