Harold Lawrence Gladish passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 4th, 2009 in Kelowna at the age of 86 years. He is survived by his wife Arlene Gross; daughters Joanne(Graham) Swain and Hollie(Steven) Stacey; 2 granddaughters Carley Summers and Candace (Kris) Dean-Waters; 2 great grandsons Tolson and Jackson; stepchildren Lynn (Roger) Petersen and Brenda (Herman) Groen; step granddaughter Heather (Kerry) Clark; as well as many other relatives and friends. Harold was
predeceased by his first wife Joan; and 3 grandchildren Nicole, Christopher and Michael. Harold was born in Jura, BC to Carl & Nellie Gladish, and grew up on the family dairy farm. He drove the dairy truck through the Princeton- Keremeos areas. Harold worked on many ranches and he loved the outdoors and riding horses. In 1939 he was the Pacific Northwest All Round Cowboy. Harold was a long time member of the Shriner’s, Mason’s and was Guardian for Job’s Daughters. He was employed with Super Value as a manager for over 35 years and therefore moved quite frequently with his family. Harold was quite involved with the Shrine Children Hospital and also drove for the
Shrine Cancer Clinic. There will be a private family gathering later in the summer. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to all the staff at both Cottonwoods and Sun Pointe Village for the care given to Harold
