Grace Irene Francks passed away peacefully on August 2, 2019 at the age of 81 years with her family at her side. Together again, Grace has joined Wayne, her one true love and lifelong soulmate. Everyone knew they were inseparable enjoying 61 incredible years of marriage including 30 wonderful years of retirement.
Grace is survived by 3 children, Dwayne (Karina), Cheryl (Mark), Darren (Sergio) and 3 grandchildren Brandon (Emily), Kyleigh (Alex) and Connor.
To respect Grace’s wishes there will be no funeral or celebration of life.
In lieu of flowers the family would be most grateful if you could kindly donate to the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation: https://vjhfoundation.org/ways-to-give/
We would like to thank the Emergency Department and 7th floor staff who showed tremendous care and kindness to Grace and her family during her brief stay. Arrangements have been entrusted to Vernon Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may be offered to the family at www.vernonfuneralhome.com.
Mom you will never be forgotten but you will always be missed. We take comfort in knowing you are joining dad and holding hands once again. We love you.
This poem was written by Wayne for Grace in 1956
To The Most Wonderful Girl In The World, Grace
Memories Of You Dear
I think of you most every day
And away from you I hate to stay, But my darling how my heart does yearn For the day that I shall return.
Here I am way up in the north Watching the planes go back and forth, Although I’m up here in Yellowknife
I live for the day you’ll be my wife.
I love you my little darling Grace
And I long for your sweet embrace. Your eyes sparkle with a beautiful blue, It’s like being in heaven when I’m with you.
Your lips so full and red like wine
That comes from some enchanted vine And to think that all these things sublime, Were brought from heaven just to be mine.
With you in my heart always, Love Wayne
