On December 31st, with grace and dignity, Esther Webb passed away to be with her Lord and Saviour. She was predeceased by her husband, Arnold Evan Webb and her brother, Jack Wellerman.
Esther led a full and rewarding life. Her church and her music were her passions. She was an accomplished musician, playing the piano, organ, mandolin, accordion and ukulele. Among her talents, she painted scenic landscapes and also loved to knit and crochet for the family. She was an expert typist and used her skills while working in New Zealand. She loved playing baseball when she was young.
Esther’s summer holidays were spent with her family at Wall Beach in Nanoose Bay and her winter holidays were spent in the warmth of Maui, Hawaii. She was known to love a good joke and laughed easily. She loved her family.
Esther leaves behind her four daughters: Patricia (Don) Anderson, Shirley (Tom) Brown, Holly (Alan) Meadows and Anne Marie (Graham) Hughes, her eleven grandchildren and spouses, fourteen great grandchildren and her sister-in-law, Ruth Wellerman (Huntsville, Ontario). She will be missed by all who loved her.
Our many thanks go to her care-home, The Astoria at the Origin, for their excellent care; to the Nanaimo Seniors Village for their devotion to her social life and well-being; to Dr. A. Kaban, for his warm and caring attention and to the many Pastors, Ministers and their spouses of the associated churches during her life.
A Celebration of Esther’s life will be held in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, we would welcome donations to either Camp Imadene, PO Box 374,
Mesachie Lake, BC VOR 2N0, or Christ’s Church – Oceanside, PO Box 295, Nanoose Bay, BC V9P 9J9.
Until we meet again mum, you will always be loved and missed.
‘Well done, good and faithful servant’ Matthew 25:21.
