Gladys was born in Aberbargoed, South Wales. She was the youngest of seven children. In 1966 Gladys immigrated to Canada with her husband and three children. Hher first eleven years were spent in Prince Rupert where she made many friends. She moved to the Comox Valley in 1977. She was known for her fabulous fish and chips as well as her love of dancing.
Gladys passed away after spending the last four months at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital and Cumberland Renal dialysis for the compassionate care they showed Gladys over the years.
