GOODE QUAIREL, Emily Ida, 38, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2013 in Annecy, France after a courageous battle with cancer. Born September 10, 1974 in Maple Ridge, BC, Emily was lover of languages, travel, teaching, culture, and adventure. Over her short life, she lived in many international locales including England, France, and Poland. She is predeceased by her father Duane and survived by husband François, mother Bette, siblings David (Angela), Elizabeth, Anna (Ryan), nephew Benjamin, aunts Réka and Dawn, uncles Howard and Lloyd, and cousins Éva (Josh) and Steven (Suzanne). Also mourning her loss are in-laws France and Jean-Yves, sister in-law Delphine (Eloi), brother in-law Nicolas (Stephanie), nephews Martin and Arthur, and niece Juliette. She also leaves behind many close friends in both North America and overseas. A special thanks to the caring staff at the Centre Hospitalier d’Annecy / Metz-Tessy, France, as well as her team of doctors. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 28th from 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM.
