Ed Brenton

Ed Brenton

Passed away, May 25th, 2017 at the Chemainus Health Care Centre.  The same location that he was born nearly 92 years ago.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 17th at the Chemainus Legion Hall. 9775 Chemainus Road.

Ed struggled with cancer for several years, but was so appreciative for the excellent medical care he received from Dr. Paul Manhas and Dr. Theresa Chan. In addition, the loving and compassionate Palliative Care staff at CHCC can’t be thanked enough.

Ed leaves behind his daughters Debbie (Brian) and Pat (Jeff), sons Mike (Wanda), and Wayne (Amanda), grandchildren Brad (Trisha), Derek (Robin), Adam (Jamie), Trenton, Jessica, Madeline, Clayton (Katie) and NikKi (Evan). His precious granddaughter, Jennifer, passed away in 2002. He also leaves behind his great grandchildren Cole, Everett, Cooper, Parker, and Layla. His brother Maurice is also left to grieve his loss.

Ed was very fortunate to have had three beautiful ladies in his life. It broke his heart with the untimely passing of each of these ladies.  Madeline, his wife of 29 years.  Ann, wife of 30 years.  After Ann’s passing in 2011, he was blessed to meet a very wonderful lady, Bev Mathews. Sadly, Bev passed away just a few months before Ed.

Donations can be made in Ed’s memory to any Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion or the Chemainus Health Care Centre.
