December 20, 1943 – August 21, 2019
It is with great sadness the family of Don McGregor announce his passing on August 21, 2019 at North Island Hospital in Courtenay. Don is survived by his loving wife Riena, son Robert (Ana Mae), grandson Rob Tyler; brothers Darcy, Douglas and Bruce; and sisters Susie, Teresa and Mary.
In his youth Don served with the Canadian Navy. He was a former president of Lion’s Club in Courtenay, a member of Alcoholic’s Anonymous (28 years sober) and was proud of his dedication to helping others. His working careers consisted of being a teacher, banker and a financial advisor. In Don’s leisure, he enjoyed basket and native hat weaving and taught others to weave. He had a great knowledge of plants and herbs, as well as being a mushroom picker.
Don was a very caring and loving husband, father and grandfather.

A celebration of Don’s life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Komoks First Nation, 3330 Comox Road, Comox, V9N 3P8 from 2 – 4 pm.
