December 6, 2019
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Collin Richard Berdusco, on Friday, December 6 at the age of 54, surrounded by his loving family.
Collin was born in Trail and grew up in Warfield. He was a loving husband and father who had a larger than life personality and passion for camping, fishing, baseball, golfing and cooking. He grew an amazing garden each year filled with treats that aligned with his zest for life. He was a real handy man and took pride in every project he completed. Collin was a committed trainer for the Trail Smoke Eaters for many years, and an inspiring swim coach and role model for the Special Olympics youth athletes. His happiest times were spent with family and friends, planning practical jokes, going on adventures, and sitting around a fire.
Left to mourn him are his loving wife Teresa, adored daughter Alyssa, father Romeo, brothers Craig (Susan) and Kevin (Lisa), his father and mother-in-law John and Irene Gallo, brothers-in-law Paul (Bev), Jerry (Arleen), John (Lenore), Peter (Sarah) and sister-in-law Linda (Hakan). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, whom he loved so dearly, Kaitlyn, Connor, Teagan, Tanner, Jamie, Cara, Samantha, Cole, Bodie, Eva, Sofia, and Grady.
Collin was predeceased by his mother Shirley, Dzedo & Baba Ivanisko, and Nono & Nona Berdusco. Sadly, Collin had to say goodbye to his nephew Jerret “Bones” Gallo last year.
Collin’s family would like to say a special thank you to the amazing and empathetic team at the Trail Regional Hospital for all their efforts on Friday.
A celebration of Collin’s life will be held in the spring for all his friends and family.
