CLARA MARGARET MILDENBERGER (nee Mann)

June 23, 1923 – JANUARY 18, 2009. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Clara passed away surrounded by her family in her home at The Village at Mill Creek. She was predeceased by her husband of 30 years, Wendelin, her parents, John and Katherine, her brother Edward and sisters Elizabeth and Florence. Clara will be dearly missed and forever loved by her family: brother Robert (Mary), sons Denis (Norma) and Douglas (Carollyne), daughters Katherine (Robert), Delphine (Keith) and Karen (Dayvid), grandchildren Shana, Lee, Chad (Bonnie), Tracy (Gerry), Chelsea (Giovanni), Jeremy (Klara), Brianne (Jess), Jessi (Sabrina), Jennifer (Peter), and her growing number of great-grandchildren. Clara was born in Lemberg, Sask. and moved to Kelowna, BC in 1962 with her husband and five children. She worked at Kelowna General Hospital until 1983, when she retired to spend more time with her family and continue her travels with her best-friend Mabel. Clara especially loved all the trips she took with her children and grandchildren while sunbathing on numerous beaches around the world. Clara’s other passion was riding behind her son Denis on his Harley motorcycle which she did up until her 84th birthday. A special thanks to all her caregivers at The Village at Mill Creek for all the love and care they showed Clara in her last two years. Clara had a wonderful sense of humour and a great passion for life. She loved to have a good laugh and kept her feisty attitude right to her final days! A mass will be held on Saturday, January 24th at 2:30 pm at Immaculate Conception Church, 839 Sutherland Ave, Kelowna, BC.
