Brenda Pickford (Paluck) passed away peacefully at home in Chilliwack Sunday, 22 January 2017 with family praying for a safe journey. Brenda had been fighting MDS cancer for over three years and cherished every new day to spend more time with family, especially her five granddaughters. She is predeceased by her parents Mike & Anne Paluck and sister Connie. Brenda is survived by her husband of 46 years Kirby; son Corey (Rachel) with their children Olivia, Jordyn and Leah in Ottawa, ON; daughter Tamara in Wilcox, SK; and son Todd (Karen) with their children Brooklyn and Sydney in Yarrow, BC. Brenda is also survived by her sister Donna (Herb) Harrison and family; sister Pat (Bruce) McCulloch and family; brother Randy (Patti) Paluck; sister Marilyn Paterson (Steve) and families. Brenda was a member of the Post Polio Society (PPASS) and the Alpha Chi Master #1415 Sorority group in Chilliwack, BC. Brenda had a passion for arts & crafts and was known for making some amazing blankets, costumes and scarves. She loved nothing more than camping and spending quality time with family and friends across Canada. The last few years were not easy, however Brenda handled her illness with grace, bravery and strength that few others could. Although we will miss her beautiful smile, her generosity and her compassion for others, we know that she has left a piece of her behind in all of us. She is now at peace with her beloved pets Makula and Hamilton. On behalf of Brenda the family extends a Special Thank You
to Dr. Cameron Ross and staff; to staff at CGH; and to Chilliwack Home Health. A Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, February 1st at 1300 hours at Henderson’s Funeral Home in Chilliwack, BC.
