Bill Elasoff passed away peacefully February 25th, 2019, two weeks before his 88th birthday. He was born in Shoreacres BC, lived in Salmo during his youth, and in Penticton and Kelowna at the start of his 38-year career with CNCP Telecommunications.
Bill married Rhoda Kenward in 1953, and they made Nelson their home. Bill’s early retirement at age 55 allowed time for many enjoyable travels with Rhoda and family. She predeceased Bill in 2001.
A lifetime member of both the Nelson Badminton and Tennis Clubs, Bill continued to enjoy both sports well after retiring.
Bill partnered with long-time friend Doreen Monty for travels and companionship for 17 years and developed a close and loving relationship with her extended family. He was always ‘Grandpa Bill.’
Bill is survived by his two daughters, Patti Jenkinson and Sherry Elasoff, one granddaughter, Kiri Cook, beloved nieces and nephews, and extended families in Canada and England.
Many thanks to Drs Mieske, Milde, Cook, Livingston, Robinson, Singer, and Rudell for such thoughtful and special care.
No service will be held and no flowers, thank you.
