ANNELIESE MANN

ANNELIESE MANN

Anneliese Else Emme Mann

was born on July 29th, 1938 in Lindtorf, Germany and was called Home to be with her Lord on November 27th, 2014 at the age of 76 years, after a lengthy and brave battle with cancer.

Anneliese will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Christian, to whom she was married for 58 years; three sons, Manfred (Joan) of Armstrong, B.C., Reinhard (Lillian) of Vernon, B.C. and Heino (Sandra) of Coldstream, B.C.; one daughter, Nancy (Peter) Chernis of Vernon, B.C.; seven grand-children, Angela (Bryce), Erik (Brittany), Shawna, Larissa, Justin (Andrea), Taylan and Kyle; one great-granddaughter, Emma; one sister, Marta Minnich in Germany; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Monica in 1968; two brothers and three sisters.

Anneliese loved the outdoors which was evidenced in the many hours she could be found in her garden and tending her flowers. She loved to go camping and she cherished the many times she sat with her family around the campfire. After all, in her opinion, camping was not camping unless there was a campfire! Anneliese loved her “doggies“ and considered them to be an important part of her family. She enjoyed them so much and loved spending time with them. Anneliese was a 50 year member of St. John`s Lutheran Church.

The Funeral Service will be held at St. John`s Lutheran Church on Friday, December 5th, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Craig Tufts officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Anneliese to the St. John`s Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 5151 Alain Road, Vernon, B.C. V1B 3K6.
