Passed away peacefully with her family at her side in Heritage Square on October 4, 2006, Ann Stawn aged 90 years. Ann was born near Ituna, SK. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1987, brothers Walter, Alex, Fred, Steve, and Pete, her

parents, Harry and Katrina. Ann is survived

by two sons: John (Madeline) Stan, Vernon and Harry (Joanne) Stan, Castlegar, BC; two grandsons, Stephan and Michael, both of Calgary, AB; one granddaughter, Angela of Lethbridge, AB. Ann is further survived by her brothers: Mike Krysowaty of Saskatoon, SK, Nick (Joyce) Krysowaty of Edmonton, AB; sisters: Sophia Johnson of Winnipeg, MB, Jean Kerwood of Port Coquitlam, BC and numerous nieces and nephews. Ann was a late member of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the Ukrainian National Federation, Vernon, BC. She loved gardening, cooking, and sewing but her real love was bee-keeping (Stawn’s Honey). Prayers will be recited on Monday, October 9 at 7:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Pleasant Valley Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 10 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Mary’s Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church, 4100 – 27th Street, Vernon with the Very Reverend John Plewa, Celebrant. Interment to follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Reception will follow interment at the Pleasant Valley Tea Room.
