Ainslie was born in Glasgow, Scotland and came to Canada in 1945 as a war bride to begin her new life with Jack. Dad’s career with the RCAF entailed many moves to bases in Manitoba, Ontario and Alberta over the next 25 years including 2 postings to #1 Wing (England and France) and #4 Wing (Germany) with the last posting to Comox, BC in 1965. Mom was a long time Bank of Montreal employee, starting in the Courtenay branch from 1965 and transferring to Head Office in Victoria in the early 70’s, where she worked until her retirement in 1986.
Family was very important to Mom & Dad and their home was always the gathering place for all the special family events over the years. She was a very talented and artistic lady who excelled at everything she put her hand to. Mom will be greatly missed by her entire family and we will all have many happy memories of her and Dad to help us with our loss. She is now reunited with her beloved Jack. Slainte Mhath.
A celebration of Mom’s life will take place at a later date.
