Within the company of Canlan Ice Sports Corp., each facility has a responsibility to set some priorities for the upcoming year, says Josh Dickerson, South Cariboo Rec. Centre facility manager.

“As in the past, the staff at the South Cariboo Rec. Centre has made it a priority to offer our community not only hockey and skating, but also some dry floor events in the off season.”

In 2012, he says, staff will be working with different community groups to accomplish this priority. Along with trying to grow the dry-floor season, Dickerson adds they have a goal to continue to accommodate their existing customers and make their experience in the facility the best possible one.

“We try to assist the organizers and volunteers to help make their jobs easier with a successful result.

“100 Mile House and area have a great facility and it is our job to maintain and to fill it with activities for the entire community to enjoy and that is what the staff at Canlan set as a goal every year.”
