Two weeks after a 62-year-old West Kelowna man was stabbed at a West Kelonwa business, the RCMP are asking the public for help in locating the suspect.
On Jan. 11 at 3:28 p.m., West Kelowna RCMP say its officers responded to a report of a stabbing at Sidney’s Swap & Shop located at 2474 Main Street.
A lone, masked man had reportedly entered the shop and asked for change before demanding money. Despite being given an undisclosed amount of cash, the man produced a knife and stabbed a 62-year-old West Kelowna man, say police.
The suspect fled on a bicycle and has not been not be located despite the fact staff at the store recognized the masked man as a homeless man living in the area.
The suspect is described as a white male, 30 to 35-years-old, 5-feet 9-inches (175 cm) tall and weighing about 154 pounds (70 kg). He’s described as having a slim build and was last seen wearing a green hooded jacket.
