Watermain flushing to hit North Delta

The annual program will start in February and end in May

Delta’s annual watermain flushing program is about to get underway in all areas of the city.

Earlier in January, the Delta engineering department put out a release warning residents that their water supply could see sediment or discolouration, or “dirty water,” during the flushing.

If you have dirty water, run the cold water tap at the highest point in your home or business for about 20 minutes. If the problem persists, contact the engineering department at 604-946-3260 or notify them online at www.delta.ca/talkdelta.

The flushing is scheduled for the following areas in North Delta:Feb. 5 – March 5, 86 Ave to 96 Ave between 116 St and 120 St Feb. 5 – March 5, 86 Ave to 72 Ave between 116 St to 120 St March 5 – March 23, 96 Ave to 84 Ave and River Road to 116 St March 26 – April 13, 72 Ave to Clark Dr between 116 St and 120 St April 16 – May 4, 84 Ave to 72 Ave between 116 St and Nordel Way May 7 – May 18, 72 Ave to Kittson Parkway between 116 St and Westview Dr
