UPDATE: Power restored in Vanderhoof

Over 4000 BC Hydro customers in Vanderhoof lost power around 6 am Thursday

Power has been restored to everyone affected by the outage in Vanderhoof on Feb. 27.

Vanderhoof is in the dark this morning, with over 4000 people without power due to a motor vehicle accident, reports BCHydro.

Power has been out since 6:13 a.m. on Feb. 27, for residents living north-east-west of Highway 16, south of Victoria Street, west of Recreation Avenue, east of Campbell Road, north of Nechako Avenue, south of Louvain Street and west of Airport Road.

Crews are on-site and power is supposed to be back on by 9:30 a.m everywhere in Vanderhoof except west of Airport Road, as per BC Hydro’s website. Residents and businesses West of Airport Road will have power back on by 4 p.m.
