Tree knocks out power for 1,500 local customers

Crews are on site clearing the power lines

More than 1,500 people in the Harrison Hot Springs-Agassiz area are without power late Thursday morning after a tree fell across hydro wires.

According to a B.C. Hydro outage map, crews are currenly on site dealing with the issue. The power has been off since 9:19 a.m.
