A crash on 208 Street near 45A Avenue closed the road down for several hours Tuesday.

A Cadillac Escalade was travelling north when it left the road around 9:35 a.m., smashing into a power pole, street light and dragging a bus shelter up and over a fence.

The 67-year-old driver was taken to hospital to be checked out but didn’t have any injuries, said Langley RCMP.

It’s lucky no one was walking or sitting at the bus shelter at the time of the crash.

The driver told police he doesn’t remember the crash so at this point, police believe it was a medical incident.

B.C. Hydro and Langley City had to fix the the snapped power pole and traffic light.
