Sidney Labradoodle stolen

A Sidney home is missing a member after a four-year-old Labradoodle was stolen from the backyard.

The large, black male dog was taken from a kennel in an enclosed backyard on Piercy Place, said Cpl. Chris Swain of the Sidney North Saanich RCMP.

“It’s come to light that a few other people may have thought the dog wasn’t being properly cared for,” Swain said, noting they are not saying whether that was or wasn’t the case. However, it could have been a trigger for someone to steal the dog.

If that’s the case, he asked that anyone with information contact the detachment 250-656-3931 or Crimestoppers 1-800-222-8477 (file #2011-941) to alert them to the whereabouts of the dog.
