Shooting charges laid

Charges have been laid in an Enderby area shooting.

On Monday at about 5:15 p.m., police officers were called to a property on the outskirts of Enderby. A 55-year-old man was found suffering from gunshot wounds while a 58-year-old man was arrested and taken into custody.

Details are not being released about the firearm used, the number of shots fired or the exact relationship between the individuals.

Norman Dybdal appeared in court Wednesday on charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault and using a firearm in committing an indictable offence.

He remains in custody and will appear in Salmon Arm court via video Oct. 27.

The victim remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
