Pressure is mounting for local residents to help the Salvation Army help others.
The Vernon agency has raised 275,000 of its $500,00 fundraising campaign.
“We are still in need of donations, both monetary and children’s gifts,” said Stefan Reid, executive director.
The funds raised during the campaign help the Salvation Army operate its food bank, which helps about 25 families a day.
The Salvation Army also provides other community based programs.
