The parkade in the $80-million clinical-services building addition to Royal Inland Hospital opened to the public on Monday, July 25.

The opening of the parkade changed traffic patterns and parking allocation at RIH.

Patients and visitors will see new signage at the site directing traffic to the new designated public or staff and physician parking locations.

The new parkade adds 350 parking stalls to the Royal Inland site.

Public parking will be available in the new parkade, in the emergency department lot, in the Hillside Centre visitor lot, in the designated overheight stalls east of Hillside Centre and in the short-term stalls by the hospital’s main second-floor entrance.

Remaining parking on the property will be allocated to employees, physicians and volunteers.
