Rossland’s 2015 annual report by the numbers

The city released its “Annual Report 2015” and on Thursday at 3 p.m. city council will hold a special meeting to hear from the public.

The City of Rossland released its “Annual Report 2015” on June 16 and on Thursday at 3 p.m. city council will hold a special council meeting at City Hall to consider submissions and questions on the report from the public. To help Rosslanders prepare for the meeting, we’ve prepared a quick overview of some of the numbers found in the report.

Total financial assets in 2015: $10,468,259, up $1,339,718 from 2014

Total financial liabilities in 2015: $9,505,914, down $274,136 from 2014

Net financial assets in 2015: $962,345, up $1,613,854

Revenue in 2015: $7,552,829, down $538,026

Expenditures in 2015: $6,900,672, up $231,219

Annual surplus in 2015: $652,157, down $769,245

Number of permits in 2015: 119

Value of permit fees in 2015: $83,359.20

Value of construction in 2015: $7,980,100
