The Revelstoke Rod & Gun Club banquet and awards dinner brought out more than 400 people to the community centre on Saturday.

The Revelstoke Rod & Gun Club banquet and awards dinner brought out more than 400 people to the community centre on Saturday.

The dinner was catered by the Powder Springs and featured items like moose-stuffed pepper, bison roast, elk stir-fry, smoke salmon, crab legs, and more.

George Wilson, the president of the BC Wildlife Federation was in attendance, as were Kootenay-Columbia MP David Wilks and Columbia River-Revelstoke MLA Norm Macdonald.

Clancy Boettger won the Art David Memorial award for largest fish caught with a 17 lb 5 oz dolly, while Kirbey Olsen was named hunter sportsman of the year.
