According to drive BC, Highway 97 is compact snow and slippery sections from Quesnel north to Prince George.
The same holds true going south until 22 kilometres north of Williams Lake where driver will have to put up with compact snow and slushy sections until they hit black ice 44.5 km north of Lac la Hache.
The black ice, compact snow and slippery sections continue down to 100 Mile House.
There will be compact snow and slippery sections to 93 Mile, where black ice and fog are in the mix all the way down to Loon Lake turnoff.
Then the highway will be slushy with slippery sections down to Cache Creek.
Motorist travelling to Kamloops from Cache Creek will have to contend with fog and slushy and slippery sections.
Those travelling south will had limited visibility due to fog from Cache Creek to Spences Bridge.
Today (Feb. 2) – Flurries ending near noon then mainly cloudy. Snow over eastern sections early this afternoon. Amount 2 cm. Amount 5 cm over eastern sections. High zero.
Tonight – Cloudy. Periods of snow beginning early this evening. Amount 2 to 4 cm except 5 cm over eastern sections. Wind becoming northwest 30 km/h overnight. Low minus 7.
