RCMP arrest man in Parksville with nine outstanding warrants

Search leads to four other charges for 50-year-old Parksville man

A 50-year-old man with nine outstanding warrants was arrested in Parksville Tuesday, July 24.

Members of the Oceanside RCMP spotted a man well known to them riding his bicycle through Parksville, according to a news release from Cpl. Jesse Foreman.

Vincent Jay Lebow of no fixed address was then arrested on nine outstanding warrants. Foreman also said in the release that police searched Lebow and found more evidence relating to four other property-related crimes that had previously occured in Parksville Qualicum Beach.

Foreman said Lebow attended Nanaimo Provincial Court on July 25 to face his nine outstanding warrants and his new charges that included theft, possession of stolen property and two charges of break and enter.

As of Thursday, July 26, Lebow was remanded in custody until his next court appearance Tuesday, July 31.
