Quesnel RCMP seizes loaded guns from vehicle

Guns were discovered after a report of a B&E on West Fraser Road

Quesnel RCMP found loaded firearms in a vehicle on West Fraser Road on Sunday (April 15).

At 3:18 a.m. on April 15, police recieved a report of a break & enter in progress in the 1100 block of West Fraser Road, an RCMP statement says.

RCMP officers discovered a vehicle and its occupants parked at the residence, but no evidence of a break & enter was found following an investigation.

Officers suspected there may be firearms inside the vehicle, so it was seized and a search warrant executed.

Loaded firearms were discovered and seized for analysis. The investigation is still ongoing, read the RCMP statement.

“Getting illegal guns off the street and out of the hands of criminals remains a priority,” says Detachment Commander Staff Sergeant Andrew Burton.

“Quesnel Detachment continues to work tirelessly at suppressing criminal behaviour in our detachment area.”
