Premier coming to talk up latest B.C. budget

B.C. Premier Christy Clark will make her own riding one of the first stops after her Liberal government presents its budget next week.

Clark, who is the MLA for Westside-Kelowna, will talk about the budget and the B.C. economy when she speaks to the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce Feb. 24 during a luncheon at the Delta Grand Hotel.

In what has become an annual tradition, Clark usually talks up the budget here shortly after it is delivered in Victoria.

The budget is to be tabled on Tuesday and is expected to be the Liberals fifth balanced budget in a row and the last one before British Columbians go to the polls in a provincial election May 9.

Tickets for the chamber of commerce luncheon featuring Clark are $50 each for chamber members, $75 for non-members and can be purchased through the chamber’s website at
