Ridge Meadows RCMP are on the lookout for a male suspect after a woman was assaulted Selkirk Avenue in Maple Ridge.

On Feb. 1, at 5:30 p.m., a woman was assaulted by an unknown male while walking along the 22300 block of Selkirk Avenue. The victim was able to get away from the suspect and flee the scene. Although the victim does not know the suspect’s identity, it is felt this was not a random attack.

The suspect was described as a Middle Eastern male, 6-feet 1’, weighing about 250 lbs., with a muscular build.  He had long black shoulder length hair, which was slicked back into a pony-tail, and a well-groomed pencil-line upper moustache with a goatee. The suspect was believed to have triangle tattoos on his neck beneath his ear and was associated to a newer model, grey, Chrysler 300 car.

Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
