Police ask for public’s assistance in locating stolen guns

On Sunday September 14,2014 the Keremeos RCMP responded to a residential break and enter located on Fairview Mountain in Cawston.

On Sunday September 14,2014 the Keremeos RCMP responded to a residential break and enter located on Fairview Mountain in Cawston.

Police are concerned about the theft of six rifles stolen during from the residence.

The items include:

–  A Winchester 30 – 30 bolt action, black barrel with brown wood stock.

–   A Midland 270, bolt action, black barrel with brown wood stock.

– A Cooey shot 12 gauge,  hinge break, black barrel shotgun with brown wood stock.

– A Cooey 22 short, bolt action, black barrel rifle with brown wood stock.

– A Ruger 22 long, semi automatic rifle  with scope. It also has a black barrel with brown wood stock.

–  An Enfield 303 rifle,  bolt action  (WWII vintage rifle).

Police are asking the public for assistance in locating these firearms in the interest of public safety.
