Police arrest drunk teen

Terrace RCMP responded to 31 calls for service from May 25th, 8 a.m. till May 26th, 8 a.m.

During the same time period, two people were lodged in Terrace cells, both for intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

Assist BC Ambulance with an intoxicated man unconscious on Lakelse Ave. Witness reported the man had fallen due to his level of intoxication and smacked his head. The man was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital via BC Ambulance.

A Black and Decker weed whacker was found abandoned on the 4600 block of Greig Ave. Police are looking for the owner.

Abandoned vehicle in a parking lot on Kalum St. Police spoke with the registered owner.

Intoxicated man passed out inside of a restaurant on Lakelse Ave. Police woke the man up and directed him elsewhere.

An intoxicated girl was observed staggering down Kalum St. by police. The 17-year-old girl was arrested.

Elsewhere Terrace

The door of a residence was left wide open on Sparks St. Police spoke with the homeowner.

A Blackberry cell phone was stolen from a Chevy truck parked on Gair Ave. sometime during the night of May 22/23.

A man attempted to trick a woman to meet with him when she is on conditions to have no contact with him.

A man wanted to tow a vehicle parked at a residence. Checks determined that the vehicle was parked legally. Police spoke with the man.

Assist Kitmat RCMP with an internet luring investigation.

An intoxicated man passed out in a park near Walmart. Police spoke with the man.

Possible shots fired on Haugland Ave. Checks of the area were done.

A man passed out near Cramer St./Haugland Ave. The man was just sleeping.

Domestic dispute on Straume Ave. Police spoke with the people involved. No offence committed.

Group of youth drinking in the bush off Soucie Ave. Police spoke with a person.

Woman screaming on Kalum St. Under investigation.

An intoxicated man bothering a woman. Checks of the area were done.

Assist Ministry of Children and Families with three investigations.


Yelling and screaming on Queensway Dr. Police spoke with a group. Nobody was in distress.

Harassment complaint. Police spoke with the people involved.

Missing person. The person was intoxicated and mistakenly reported a person missing.

Breach of a no contact condition. Police spoke with the people involved. A person was transported elsewhere.

Possible impaired driver. Police spoke with a man. He was being belligerent to a flagging person and was not intoxicated.


A man and woman refusing to leave a residence. Investigation determined that a woman may have been assaulted in a domestic incident. The people involved would not cooperate with police.

Police observed an intoxicated woman yelling at another woman in the street. The 45-year-old woman was arrested.

A man refusing to allow a woman entry into a residence. Police spoke with the people involved and a resolution was reached.


Youth causing mischief at Hai Lake. Checks of the area were done.

Suspicious occurrence. Two youth running into the bush near Kitwanga. No offence committed.
