Penticton chamber looking for nominations to fill vacant board seat

All good-standing members are able to apply for the position

The Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations from its members to fill a vacant board position.

According to a release, the successful candidate should have the ability to fill a time commitment of approximately 10 meetings per year and would hold the position for the remainder of the 2019/20 term. The board currently meets every fourth Thursday from 8 to 10 a.m.

“The Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce has been supporting businesses in the community since 1907 and is a membership-driven, not-for-profit organization representing the voice of 600 local businesses,” states the release. “The chamber’s primary purpose is to support the members, and their employees, to achieve business success. As a great way to get more involved in the community, network with peers and play a part in the future successes, chamber members are encouraged to serve as a director on our board.”

All chamber members in good standing, having paid their annual dues and other purchases, are eligible to submit their names. Anyone interested in representing their business is asked to email admin@penticton.org for further information.
