Paving rehab on Evans Road in Chilliwack wrapping up

Southbound lanes should be done by Monday and everything completed by July 31

The paving project on Evans Road south of Highway 1 to the tracks should be wrapped up by Wednesday.

That’s the word from City of Chilliwack officials who’ve heard from a few citizens regarding the month-long asphalt paving rehabilitation project, which saw traffic reduced to a single lane for most of it.

They advised motorists throughout to seek alternate routes.

The southbound lane was completed Thursday, and the northbound lanes will be getting the new black top Friday and Monday. Line-marking will be done overnight after that.
