The North Thompson Fall Fair and Rodeo Association is celebrating their 70th birthday this year. To mark this celebration the NTFFRA Ambassador Program will be providing a float in the Fall Fair Parade on Saturday, Aug. 31, for past NTFFRA Royalty members to ride on and join in marking a monumental 70 years.

The North Thompson Fall Fair’s Ambassador program began back in 1950, and at that time was called a Queen Pageant with the young lady selling the most tickets to the event being named the Queen.

In the past 70 years the program has become much more; it is now called the NTFFRA Ambassador Program, is open to both young men and women, and provides numerous training and life learning experiences for the candidates. Those named Ambassador and Vice-Ambassador are judged in a number of divisions, including, speech, talent, North Thompson Fall Fair and valley history, and more.

All past Royalty (Queens, Princesses, Ambassadors and Vice Ambassadors) are invited to participate in this year’s parade. If you are past Royalty, or know someone who is, please contact Kim Fennell at 250-320-7689, or email: kfennell@live.ca to reserve a seat on this year’s float.
