Riminder Gakhal, a Vernon lawyer, has been named to Okanagan College's board of governors.

Okanagan College has named two new board members.

Appointed to the board are Gloria Morgan, a former Splatsin chief, and Riminder Gakhal, a lawyer at Vernon’s Davidson Pringle.

“I’m looking forward to being involved with the college,” said Gakhal, who grew up in Vernon.

Morgan has been an RCMP officer, a criminal defence lawyer and a Crown prosecutor.

“I honestly believe knowledge is power – power for self-improvement,” said Morgan.
