On July 22 at approximately 5 p.m., Salmon Arm RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision on the Trans-Canada Highway west of Salmon Arm near the Trickle Inn.

An east-bound motorcycle failed to slow for traffic and narrowly missed rear-ending a car, the rider choosing instead to take evasive action. The driver then lost control and laid the bike down on the wet road, narrowly missing a second car that had also slowed in traffic. The driver had non life threatening injuries and was issued a ticket.
