Man stabbed in Newton

Victim, who is known to police, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

A man is being treated for knife-wound injuries after being stabbed in Newton.

At about 3:30 a.m. Friday, police were called to 60 Avenue and King George Boulevard.

The found a 58-year-old man, who is known to police, suffering from a knife wound.

He was take to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A suspect in the stabbing has not been identified.

“Surrey RCMP General Duty has conduct of this investigation,” said RCMP Cpl. Scotty Schumann. “Investigators are still at the scene and will be working closely with the Forensics officers examining the area.”
