Firefighters from the Lake Country Fire Department will be making the rounds in their annual Food Bank Campaign this coming weekend.

Firefighters will be collecting donations for the food bank on the afternoon of Sunday, Dec. 4 in Carr’s Landing and the evening of Monday, Dec. 5 in Winfield, Oyama and Okanagan Centre.

Residents can leave a box or bag of non-perishable goods on your doorstep (and leave your house lights on) to help them cover as many neighbourhoods as possible.

If you prefer to donate cash or a cheque, they are happy to collect that for the Lake Country Food Assistance Society as well.

If you would rather not participate, just leave a note on your door and they won’t knock or disturb you.

If you miss them and would like to donate, please feel free to drop by the Fire Administration building at Station 71 on Okanagan Centre Rd. East in Winfield.
