The Kitimat Bottle Depot officially reopened on June 9, but with measures in place to keep both staff and residents as safe as possible during COVID-19.

Measures include limiting the number of customers in-store to three people maximum at one time and reminding people not to come to the store if they are experiencing any flu-like symptoms, such as a dry cough or sore throat.

They said they are taking everything that they normally accept, including cans, aluminum, and plastic and glass bottles.

The Depot is open every day of the week except Sundays and Mondays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. They said people can expect lines to get long with everyone bringing back all of their recycling from the past few months.
