Kelowna man arrested with a cache of guns

A 36-year-old Kelowna man is facing as many as 14 potential firearms charges as well as Possession of a Controlled Substance.

A 36-year-old Kelowna man is facing potential gun and drug charges after police searched a well-known problem residence early Tuesday morning.

Members of the Kelowna RCMP Street Enforcement Teams executed a search warrant Jan. 13  on a residence on the 1800 block of High Road looking for firearms.

“A large number of people were located within the residence and were detained in the interest of officer safety. During the search police seized five rifles, ammunition, two replica firearms and 4.17 grams of crystal meth from a bedroom inside the home,” said Const. Kris Clark, in a press release.

A 36-year-old Kelowna man is facing as many as 14 potential firearms charges as well as Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was not home at the time of the search warrant and remains outstanding.
