National Green Party leader Elizabeth May is headed to Duncan on Thursday to talk Paris.

Beginning at 7 p.m., May will give a talk titled “The Paris Achievement: Insights into the Global Climate Deal”.

A press release describes the event as “a rare opportunity to hear first-hand insights from one of Canada’s leading environmental voices into the historic COP21 Paris Agreement. COPs are Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change meetings, and Elizabeth has attended most if not all of these global negotiations since the first one in Rio in 1992.  She will tell us about the long road to Paris, and what it means for Vancouver Island communities, and the world beyond.”

The event takes place at the VIU Cowichan campus, in lecture hall room 140. Admission is free.
