The District of Lake Country has promoted Rose Bronswyk Kassa to the job of chief financial officer for the District of Lake Country.

Bronswyk Kassa is a Certified Management Accountant and has been serving the community as finance manager at the District of Lake Country since 2003.

In a press release announcing the appointment the district said: “The shoes of previous CFO, Stephen Banmen, are hard to fill, but with over 10 years’ experience, Rose’s knowledge of the fiscal management of the community’s assets and her dedicated approach and strong work ethic make her an excellent choice for the role.”

Lake Country Mayor Jim Baker said: “Rose has demonstrated a strong fiscal accountability for preparing the annual financial statements, management of collection of the tax roll, in addition to other receivables, payables and grant processing in this community for many years. I feel she is the best suited for continuing oversight in an expanded role as CFO.”

The district’s chief administrative officer, Alberto De Feo, said: “As finance manager, Rose was actively involved in all facets of municipal finance operations and will now expand her involvement in annual budget preparation and tax rates finalization.”
