Curbside collection of yard waste stepped up

Curbside collection of branches and yard waste goes year-round

The curbside collection of yard waste just upped its game in Chilliwack.

As of March 1, residents are now permitted to put out up to a maximum of 10 paper bags of yard waste, or bundled branches, at the curb each week.

That means the yard waste can be dropped at the curb all year-round, in addition to what’s in the green cart, with no extra tag-a-bag stickers required.

When the green carts were first rolled out, the bags and bundled yard waste was restricted to certain months of the year, but that’s changed recently.
