Hydrangea teal? Robin egg blue? Spring-sky cyan?
Heritage buffs won’t get to peruse colour swatches for the Revelstoke Courthouse roof repair project until at least 2013.
On Aug. 28 Revelstoke city council heard the two bids received to repair the roof were “invalid.” The project will have to be re-tendered, leading to delays.
The plan had been to repair the leaking, aging roof with a rubber membrane in early September this year.
Previously, council had heard the issue was urgent and should be completed before winter.
“How bad is it now?” asked Coun. Steve Bender.
“There [are] issues of concern and continue to be,” said city chief administration officer Tim Palmer. “We’re able to manage it. There [are] tarps that are up there now … We don’t have too much choice at this point.”
